Virtual Event Giveaways

Virtual event giveaways, also known as virtual event swag, have always been relevant to businesses. Today, due to Covid, virtual events play an even bigger role. They help to build the customer-to-brand relationship. Giveaways, gifts, or swag are a fun, exciting part of most events and something that attendees look forward too.

Why have Virtual Event Giveaways

First and foremost, virtual event giveaways boost engagement and amps up the digital event experience. During Covid, it helped make things feel a little more normal and made the event more personal, like an event in person would have. The giveaway also strengthens the relationship between companies and attendees. Lastly, the giveaway extends the life of the event for potentially years. For example, if a company gives away a t-shirt and the attendees wear it for years, then the company is still receiving free advertising. Other giveaways could be gift cards, online classes/memberships, free digital tools, and charitable donations that connect good vibes with the brand.

How to Share Virtual Event Giveaway Items

There are many ways to get your giveaway into the attendees’ hands. The first thing you can do is send participants a gift box upon registration. This guarantees that the attendees receive the giveaway before the event. You could also send the giveaway after the event as a thank you for participating and being a part of the brand’s community. Another great way is through games. Games provide the participants a chance to win a prize. It also allows a fun game to take place during the event.

Benefits of Virtual Events/Giveaways

The world will hopefully be going back to normal soon, but there are still benefits to keeping virtual events. Some of the benefits of virtual events are that they are eco-friendly, they are easy to personalize, and they can take place at any time or date. These benefits will keep virtual events relevant for years to come.

How to Build a Digital Presence

What does digital presence mean? In simple terms, it is to show your business online. Your digital presence matters whenever any person searches for your business. It can be the difference of whether you make a sale or not. Without further ado, here are some of the top ways to help build your companies digital presence.

Create an Online Website

If you don’t already have a website, then stop reading this and make one. Seriously, stop reading this. You need a website if you are to succeed as a business in today’s society. It doesn’t matter what your company does. You could be a gym or a retailer. You need a website to provide potential consumers with information about your company. From experience, if I look up a company and they don’t have a website, I lose a lot of trust in the company. Again, you need a website to succeed.

Start Using Social Media

Behind having a website, this is the second most important way to help build your digital presence. By being involved on social media, you can interact with your customers and expand your reach. Social media allows your company to increase its authority. You can constantly provide your audience with relevant content. Some of the best social media websites to get involved with are Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and Pinterest. These are the most popular and will help your company grow.

Participate on Online Question-Answer Sites

Websites like Quora, Stack Exchange, and Yahoo Answers are some of the most popular question-answer websites. These are great ways to interact with consumers and get your voice out there. It also provides credibility to your company. If you can help consumers answer questions, they will be more likely to use your company.

How to build a digital presence

Start Advertising Digitally

Digital advertising is a new movement in society. Every social media company now sells advertisements that can target specific audiences. You can’t control who TV advertisements and billboards ads reach, which puts your company at a disadvantage. Social media advertisements can also reach so many more people due to how many people use these platforms. Some of the best social media advertisement platforms are Facebook ads, Instagram ads, and Twitter ads. Other digital media websites that are insanely popular are Google ads and Bing ads.

In conclusion, your digital presence is more important today than ever before. I only began to touch the surface on ways to build your digital presence. There are many other ways, but I believe these are the most important ways to consider. Here at Wenning Branding, we help companies build their digital presence. The Podcast Explosion

Many of you have probably heard of podcasts, but do you know what they are? Podcasts are digital audio files made available on the internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device. Typically, they are available as a series, where new installments can be received automatically by subscribers. Podcasts have blown up over the last few years. Podcasts have become a mainstream, accessible, and easily digestible way to engage with stories and ideas. In this blog, we will be discussing all things podcasts. We will talk about why we listen to some of the best podcasts out there.

Statistics

Podcast 1

Within the last three years, podcast listeners have grown 37.5%. 43% of people in the US listen to podcasts, with 75% of Americans being familiar with podcasts. On average, people who listen to podcasts listen to about 6 of them per week. So, who makes up the active listeners of podcasts? 44% of listeners are millennials, while Gen X makes up 33% of listeners, Baby Boomers make up 16%, and Gen Z makes up 7% of listeners. Lastly, males listen to podcasts slightly more than females. Out of all active listeners, 56% are male, and 44% are female.

Why We Listen

Podcast 2

It has become easy to access podcasts daily. The podcast boom’s cause is three things; the ubiquity of smartphones, time spent in transit, and online music services. It is easier to multitask to podcasts than any other medium, bringing a dose of productivity to any part of your daily routine. Podcasts attribute to the brain-stimulating and addictive effects of audio learning. Another reason that podcasts are so popular is that it is unlike radio. Podcasts are listened to as much at home as when out and about. It has become mainstream to listen to while doing household chores, cooking, working out, and many other activities. Lastly, there is a podcast for everything. No matter your interests, you will be able to find a podcast perfect for you.

Popular Podcasts

Podcast 3

I wanted to share with you some of the most popular podcasts and podcast genres. Comedy is the most popular genre, with 2 Dope Queens, The Joe Rogan Experience, and WTF hosted by Marc Maron being the most successful. The next biggest genre is education. The top podcasts in this genre are TED Radio Hour, Freakanomics Radio, and Radiolab. News is a big genre with The Daily, Up First NPR, and Serial leading the way. Then we have my favorite genre, sports! Pardon My Take (my favorite), Fantasy Focus Football, and 30 for 30 ESPN are some of the most popular podcasts out there. Lastly, gaming is a hugely successful genre. Game Scoop, Giant Bombcast, and Fireteam Chat are some of the most well-known in the genre. I could go on and on about podcast genres, but we would be here for days.

What is to Come?

Spotify

Podcasts are going to continue growing in popularity. The percentage of people who actively listen to podcasts has increased significantly in the last three years. It hasn’t only been growing with millennials but in people 55+, which increased by 29% last year. Podcasts have become popular on all music streaming platforms. For example, Spotify spent over 400 million dollars on podcasted-related acquisitions. Spotify is only the beginning. As podcasts become more popular, more large purchases will take place. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend you start to listen to them!
